Senegal Forum Outcome Document Reflects African Priorities for Post-2015 [viewed]

UNDP22 December 2012: A two-day forum on African priorities for the post-2015 development agenda has resulted in an Outcome Document that reflects those priorities and lists development enablers that participants identified as prerequisites for the post-2015 agenda. The forum, held in Dakar, Senegal, was one of several African events to build consensus on a post-2015 vision to be endorsed at the African Union (AU) Summit in May 2013.

An e-discussion on Governing and Managing Water Resources for Sustainable Development is taking place on the World We Want 2015 platform, from 11-17 February. Viewers are invited to comment, discuss and debate key questions on this topic through the online platform. This e-discussion is part of the Water Resources Sub-Consultation, which aims to discuss where and how water resources management should be incorporated into a post-2015 development agenda. The Water Resources Sub-Consultation is one of three sub-consultations that are part of the Thematic Consultation on Water, which is co-led by UN-Water, the UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), and supported by the Governments of the Netherlands and Switzerland.
