Business Leaders Commit to Bringing Anti-Corruption into Post-2015 Agenda

11 December 2012: On International Anti-Corruption Day, business representatives participating in the 11th Meeting of the Working Group on the Global Compact's 10th Principle against Corruption affirmed their commitment to the Principle. The meeting, organized by the UN Global Compact, took place in New York, US, on 10-11 December 2012.

The meeting included a panel session on Business Action Against Corruption and the Post-2015 Development Agenda, which noted the importance of integrating anti-corruption issues into the post-2015 development process, and called on business to demonstrate leadership. Participants also stressed their commitment to bring the businesses perspective on the anti-corruption and integrity agenda into the discussion on the post-2015 framework. They identified opportunities to advance the Compact's anti-corruption activities, such as increasing corporate disclosure on the 10th Principle through the annual mandatory requirement of the Communication on Progress (COP).
